Prince of Persia was TOTALLY worth seeing!!
I remember when the video game came out and I was like, "That looks cool". When the movie came out, I thought it was going to stink, but was I wrong? Yup!
I'm not going to beat the dead horse, but let's just say that the action sequences were amazing. There was the perfect balance of drama, action, and romance. I also loved that it was sort of a mystery in a sense. Jake Gyllenhaal was the cool action dude with a brain, but did everything with a very unique style. The best part of the action scenes was what he was doing... The stunts were out of this world!!!!In conclusion, I WANT THAT DAGGER!!!!!

Why won't they stop Screaming?!?!?!
Okay, remember in an earlier post how I said that the horror movie industry needs to cut it out with the remakes? Well, some movie series just need to end altogether... Scream was good and all; however, it's the same thing over and over and over again. Sidney, the main heroine, plays the big, brave bad ass and Ghostface tries to kill her... Honestly, it was already repetitive after the first movie. Look at the tagline. Every movie has their own set of rules that are presented to the audience. These rules are just plain pathetic and stupid and predictable. "Don't have sex.... Never assume the killer is dead... yada yada yada". Who knows... maybe movie will be worth seeing...

The Next Eclipse Should be on July 11... But it's not...?
Okay so here's my view of the Twilight Saga: I think the books are boring, but I LOVE the movies. June 30th is the release date for the third installment, Eclipse, of the Twilight Saga.
I have to admit that I was a little creeped out by the trailer... I saw vampires attacking people in dark alleys... And of course they had to use the famous line: "It's starting". Seriously though, couldn't they have picked a better line for the fact that a bunch of vampires are coming to get them???... The creepiest part is when they vampires emerge from the water. SO CREEPY!!
Of course on top of all of this we have the Bella-Edward-Jacob love triangle... Then again, not really, because Bella told Jacob in New Moon that she would always pick Edward over him...
Okay so what is it with this vampire, Jane (Dakota Fanning)? She's SOOOO obnoxious! She just stands there and controls people with her powers and says really annoying things like "Decisions, decisions". It's like chica, let's be realistic, the only thing that makes you threatening is your power... Other than that, I think the Volturi would have made Jane-kabobs out of you a long time ago.
And for crying out loud! When are they going to off this bitch, Victoria?

Shrek Forever... Odd?
My friend Abby and I went to see Shrek Forever After (or Shrek: The Final Chapter) tonight and all I have to say is.... uh huh. I think it was a really bad way to end a series like Shrek and I'm a HUGE Shrek fan... I guess you can call me a "Shreek". Get it? Shrek + geek = Shreek!

We're friends 'til the end, remember?
There are some movies that can't be remade... and it seems like the horror movie industry doesn't quite understand that. Halloween (2007)... oh boy... what a mess!!!!
However, there are some horror movies that didn't make quite the impression the first time around and I think they deserve another shot, right? I'm a personal fan of everyone's favorite killer doll, Chucky. I own all of the movies and watch them all the time.
I think this poster is pretty scary, right? Then again, it could be fake... Let's pretend this is the real deal.
I can't decide whether it's the subsequent movies that ruined the image for me, or whether they didn't create the right image from the beginning. I'm hoping that the remake (God only knows when that's set to come out) is frightening, because the original was sort of scary, but they could have made Chucky scarier if they just shut him up with all the wisecracks.

Toy Story 3 ... So excited!!
By now, everyone knows that a third installment of the Toy Story franchise is set to hit theaters on June 18, 2010. The reason why I'm excited is that the Toy Storyline (excuse the pun) is lighthearted and just plain exciting! I remember seeing the original for the first time back in '95 and ever since, I always wondered what goes on in my home when everyone leaves for the day... hmmmmmm...
So what I gather from the trailer is that... finally... Andy goes to college (*tear* I know how it feels) and he leaves all his old toys behind. Apparently his mother (although this lady clearly could never keep her nose of Andy's business or in this case, toys... I mean this is the lady who got Woody into that pickle in Toy Story 2) drops off Andy's toys at Sunnyside Daycare.
As with all Toy Story movies, the main goal is to get back to Andy, because this kid never gives up on his toys... even though he's in college now... I wonder if he gets girls... anyways... There are a few things I'm excited for after watching the trailer.
The first thing is the Barbie and Ken relationship (I shall refer to it as Karbie).
The second thing is that Buzz goes a little haywire (don't we all?) and turns into Spanish Buzz (a.k.a. Astro Nut as coined by Hamm)... Pixar is clearly reaching out to all demographics on this one.
I guess we shall see what kinds of obstacles this purple poof ball has in store for everyone's favorite play pals.
Gambling Toys... What has this world come to?
All I know is that I'm uber excited to see Toy Story 3!!!!!!!!
